REHABILITATION AND PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES

Vermont Square offers a complement of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy services 5 dyas a week. here are also alternative therapies and restorative care programs available.

Active Health Management (www.activehealth.ca) provides the Physiotherapy services at Vermont Square. The Physiotherapist, who works with a Certified Physiotherapist Assistant, specializes in Geriatrics. Assessment of each new resident and determination of an appropriate physiotherapy regime is made shortly after arrival at Vermont Square.

The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers a maximum of 100 physiotherapy treatments per year for residents in long term care. An application must be submitted by the Physiotherapist for additional treatment if deemed required.
