YOUR VOICE IS IMPORTANT TO US!

Resident Council:
The Resident Council is composed of an elected President and Secretary/Treasurer and a liason from the Vermont Square management staff. They meet at regularly scheduled times to discuss what is happening in the home and to make suggestions for changing existing programs as well as creating new ones. We are very proud that our Resident Council has raised funds at Christmas to help give a family in the community a better Christmas.

Family Council:
The Family Council is an organized and self-determining group of family members and friends of Vermont Square. A staff advisor from the home is appointed to provide support for the Council. For more information on Family Councils in Long Term Care, visit the Family Council Network.

Food Committee:
The Food Committee is composed of residents who meet with the Food Services Manager on a regular basis. They participate in the planning of the new, seasonal menus as well as making suggestions for improvement in the meal service in general.

Education and Information for Families:
Vermont Square holds information evenings for the families of our new admissions. Topics such as the services available in the home and who to contact in case of a problem along with an open question and answer session promise a lively, informative evening for all who attend.

Families of all our residents are informed of changes at Family Council meetings and through general mail outs that are sent to all of our families and/or residents throughout the year.
